Agnieszka is a highly qualified therapist with a MSc in Psychology and an MSc in Family and Couple Therapy. She also has additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
She has been practicing in a variety of settings including private practice and child /adults NHS services. She is registered with UK Council for Psychotherapy and Association for Family Therapy.
Agnieszka has a warm and validating approach. She’s interested in client’s personal and relational strengths and resources while acknowledging how overwhelming difficulties can sometimes appear.
Agnieszka creates an environment that enables clients to safely express and explore difficult thoughts and feelings, to understand each other’s experiences and views and appreciate each other’s needs. This enables families/couples to build on their strengths and make useful relational and individual changes.
In relationships we often get stuck in patterns of hurtful behaviours (e.g. in couple relationships we often experience blame/distant or attack/withdraw pattern). In the process of therapy, Agnieszka helps families/couples to explore those patterns and connect with emotions, unmet attachment needs, longings and fears that drive those hurtful behaviours. This helps to process emotions and strengthen relational bonds. Subsequently facilitating new ways of interacting/communicating that redefine the relationship as safe and secure – healing the relationship as well as health and wellbeing of all individuals involved.
Agnieszka’s approach can also be helpful for individuals, as an opportunity to reflect on important relationships/unmet attachment needs and fears that cause suffering and poor mental health. Subsequently, helping individuals to find new ways forward.
Agnieszka offers therapy in English and in Polish.
