The Website
EFT Clinic is a private service Clinic which provides psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples and families, and also psychosexual therapy to couples and individuals. Our therapists use primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy approach integrating other therapeutic modalities where necessary and appropriate, responding to the needs of the clients.

Payment Policy
For payments on the website we accept payment through PayPal.
User represents and warrants that payment information supplied is true, correct and complete and (ii) charges incurred by the User will be honoured by User’s financial institution and (iii) User shall pay charges incurred by the User at the amounts in effect at the time incurred, including all applicable taxes. User shall be responsible for all charges incurred through the use of User’s password. General Data Protection Regulation and Privacy Statement
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is concerned with personal information that I collect, store, and share. As the Data Controller for purposes of the Data Protection I am registered with ICO (Information Commissioners Office, www.ico.org.uk) for safekeeping of this information.
Please read this document prior to starting your therapy. Please, e-mail the signed document to info@emotionallyfocusedtherapylondon.co.uk before your first session, or alternatively bring it signed with you to the 1st session, to indicate that you agree with the Policy.
We collect your data through your direct enquiries via contact forms on our website www.emotionallyfocusedtherapylondon.co.uk, our e-mail info@emotionallyfocusedtherapylondon.co.uk, phone calls, text messages.
Personal Information collected
Name | gender (or preferred identity) | age | relationships & progeny | occupation | address | telephone (permission to message) | e-mail | GP details | counselling history | medical conditions relevant to counselling | prescribed medication | difficulties.
The information, along with brief factual anonymised session notes, will be used to carry out my professional and contractual obligations during out therapeutic or supervisory relationship.
How the information is stored
All the information is kept secure, private and confidential.
The data on paper is kept in a locked filing cabinet.
Your phone number may be kept in my mobile phone which is passcode protected.
Email address and correspondence will be stored in my email account by nature of you contacting me and is also password-protected.
Website: none of your personal information is stored on my website, other than to momentarily collect & send it to my e-mail account for the purposes of our initial contact.
In case of contacting me via my website, your information is emailed to me by WebHealer (http://www.webhealer.net) who manage my website. When the email has been delivered to me it will be deleted from WebHealer systems.
In case of recording your therapy sessions for my sole professional use and development, and/or supervision and/or training purposes, an explicit permission will be sought from you before recording. Recordings are stored in the same confidential and safe manner on a separate password-protected hard-drive. They will be completely and irrevocably erased when they are no longer needed for the purpose/s consented to beforehand.
How your personal information is processed/shared
It is very unlikely that your data will be shared, except there is a legal or ethical duty to disclose in order to comply with any legal obligation (e.g. terrorism alerts, money laundering, where there is reason to believe that someone, especially a child, is at risk of harm, or that there is a danger of harm to yourself or others, or if notes are subpoenaed by court). I will seek your permission where possible and practical unless the law may require that I share your personal information without your knowledge. Your data will never be sold on or used unethically.
We do not collect or store any credit card details on our website or our system and have no access to cardholder information entered by you during payments via bank transfer.
Our website includes social media features, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, which may collect your information, such as IP address or which page you are visiting, and also may set up cookies. All these features are hosted and managed by a relevant third party and governed by their policies and not ours.
Supervision
According to Code of Practice and Ethics of professional organisations I am accredited by and/or registered with (UKCP, COSRT, BACP, ICEEFT), I seek regular consultations with a supervisor/consultant who is bound by the same privacy, data protection and confidentiality policy. In order to protect your privacy, my consultant will not know you personally nor professionally. I will refer to you by your first name and some information relevant to the therapeutic process.
In exceptional circumstances your name and contact details will be shared with my named agent and supervisor, so that you will be contacted on the event of my death/incapacity, should you still be in therapy with me.
Your personal data and brief session notes will be kept for minimum of 6 years at the request of most insurance companies after which time it will be destroyed.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask to amend or change any incorrect information about you, or refuse/withdraw your consent to using your personal data for the purposes mentioned above.
You have the right to make a Subject Access Request to your data, that is you have the right to request access to personal data held by me about you. Requests should be in writing and specific as to the exact information required. I will have one month to respond to a request. In some cases, if your request is more complex, more time may be required up to a maximum of three months from the date we receive your request. You will be kept fully informed of progress. Such requests can be refused but there must be a justifiable basis to do so. Small administration fee may apply depending on the nature and complexity of the request.
You have the right to request your personal information to be erased (unless it is the information that I have a legal obligation to retain and/or whilst it is needed for my competent practice).
You have the right to data portability which means you have the right to transfer your data to another source or provider (unless there is a legal obligation to retain and/or whilst it is needed for my competent practice).

From time to time I will audit the personal information which is held, where it came from and how it is stored or managed. This complies with the GDPR’s accountability principle.
